Those of you that have spent much time in old farm houses are probably familiar with steep, narrow staircases. Having so many little ones the staircases in the house were a big issue with me. I think one of the first two questions I asked Adam the first time we met was if anything could be done to make these staircases larger. His answer was of course, yes, sometimes I don't think there is anything that Adam can't find a way to improve :).
I didn't get a complete before shot of the stairs, but you can see part of them here. There was a wall on both sides and a doorway. It honestly looked like you were opening a closet door to find this intimidating stairway to the upstairs.
Below are the newly constructed stairs. Wider and longer, they will actually lead out into the living area.
In other news Bly Plumbing has started installing plumbing and we met with Adam yesterday to pick out most of the plumbing fixtures. Young's Heating and Cooling will also install the furnace and ducting this month and Adam is in the process of getting bids for the Electrical.
