An Introduction

In July of 2013 we began a journey with our contractor Adam Whiteside to renovate John's grandparents 1930's farmhouse. I started this blog to document the progress and to share with you all along the way.

Here are a couple of pictures of the property as we received it.

At some point, I'll have to clarify with Adam when, he came across this picture of how the house was originally built.

We fell in love with the front porch and the upstairs dormer so we decided upon Adam's suggestion to convert the house back to the way it was originally built.

Fast forward approximately 3 months later and below is where we are currently at in progress. The dormer has been replaced upstairs, the vinyl siding has been removed, the old original windows are out, the plaster is gone, the interior changes (including the master bedroom/bathroom) have been made and the interior framing, I believe is close to complete. I know I'm missing a million other things that Adam has done but I just wanted to do a brief summary to get this blog started!

Stay tuned later this week for interior pictures and roof progress (yay!)
